24 Hour Emergency Response
When disaster strikes, you need help right away. High winds, thunderstorms, drought, and severe weather of all kinds take a toll on Central Texas trees. We provide 24-hour emergency response—we’re there when you need us. From removal of dangerous hanging branches to entire fallen trees, we can help in any emergency tree hazard situation right down to the cleanup of storm debris.
TREE RISK ASSESSMENT SERVICESDo you have a tree with a possible health problem or hazard risk? Maybe you want information about how your trees can be healthier. You want a trustworthy diagnosis, and that’s what we provide. Call us today to have an ISA Certified Arborist come to your property, diagnose, evaluate, answer questions, and make informed suggestions for your landscape and trees. (This service is priced hourly.)
Insect & Disease Control
Our goal is to help prevent disease by providing advice and care that promotes vigorous tree health. Our preference is to treat organically, when possible. We do, however, offer a full range of tree health services such as fertilization, ball moss removal, and disease and insect treatments. If your tree has an insect infestation or a disease, we’ll recommend the most appropriate course of action to restore it to good health.
Root System Management
TRENCHING THROUGH ROOT ZONES
Proper natural soil conditions in the root zone of a tree are extremely important to tree health. Many urban trees, however, encounter problems due to disturbance in the critical root zone such as compaction and excess backfill with poor soil such as sandy loam. We use a specialized tool called an Airspade to break up compaction, excavate overburden and amend the soil to improve soil conditions.
The root collar, the area at the base of the tree where the roots meet the stem, ideally should be above the soil grade, not buried. Buried root collars can rot, exposing the tree to stressors which can cause tree decline. A root collar excavation (removing soil from atop the root collar) is best performed using an Airspade. The force of the air moves the soil with minimal disturbance to tree tissue.
Concrete Driveway/Patio Cutting
FOR TREE HEALTH
Sometimes concrete driveways and patios are poured inside the critical root zone or right up to the base of a tree. As the tree grows the roots can start to crack and lift the concrete. We cut the concrete back from the root collar to reduce root stress on the tree.
